Here's another new tune. This one started its life as an acoustic song, but it never quite gelled for me. But since I've spending more time on this batch, and working with new ideas, I decided to try a completely different arrangement - an almost 70s soul feel - and it made all the difference.
One odd aspect to the production of this is that despite using mostly virtual instruments, it's one of the more organic songs I've done. The keyboards and bass were all done in one take each, with no envelopes to fiddle with dynamics. The whole song could be done as-is with a power trio (assuming the keyboardist was nimble).
