Lyrics are pretty dumb. Music is pretty good. The "Wait, I'm not done" transition is funny. The ending isn't. Overall: Good. (3rd place)

Rev. Bean:

Started out 80s pop styling. I liked the first fakeout ending early on, but then the repeated fakeouts at the bridge seemed obvious. And the speaking at the end is unnecessary. / The lyrics are maybe a bit too cutesy. I didn't even particularly notice the fakeout endings the second time around.

Loophole:

The beginning is really catchy. Lol. This is hilarious. I think after the second time you say, he just snoots, thats when the extra instrumentation should break in. Right now you just use it as a transition, but I think it would really catch you at that part of the song if it were underneath the vocals. It kind of sounds like you put the best lyrics at the beginning and the ones that werent quite as good towards the end. If you could spend a little more time thinking of better lyrics for the second half of the song, it would be even better. This is hilarious though, it gets my vote.

There were a bunch of good songs in here! Im surprised more people didnt think Joshs song was funny. Maybe its being overanalyzed. I think its a great simple song. Its even funnier now that I know you didnt think of the drug take on it, because I thought you were describing some hard up guy whos best friend is his snooter. Everybody else treats him bad, but not Snooter. Oh well, Snooter dont care if he wins the songfight. He just snoots.

Chico:

You don't need to stop-start that severely after the first time (which was perfect, and gave me the biggest smile of this whole fight). I also like the vocal/guitar twinning on the chorus. But this wasn't, in fact, the last song of the night, so you might want to actually write an ending. You gave yourself a ton of room to do just that.

Bolio:

Lyrics annoy me on this one. Decent song underneath but I can't stand to hear 'snooter don't care' again (you set the bar so high week after week, I expect the cleverness to be in the songwriting & production, not the lyrics.)

Maasman:

Ok, Josh, I gotta ask. What gear do you use? Mic/pre, drums, monitors? I saw your pic on the knobs thread, and its a lot LESS than I expected based on your consistent production quality. Okay, as for the song. Catchy as hell. I see you also went with Snooter as a name and rhymed snooter with computer. Great minds, I suppose. The first uh, wait Im not done BANG big production breakdown is funny. By the 3rd verse (last summer, blowup doll) the lyrics are starting to feel superfluous. Some insight into Snooter or a twist or something would really make the song. The joke at the end isnt as funny as the first time, were lacking surprise and it goes on long. Overall good song though. I think I have to vote for Josh just because I was bopping along to his more than anyones.

Acidic:

You always have such well produced stuff. This is well produced and nice to listen to. I'm not sure if I "got it". It was catchy, but it didn't hook me. Maybe too light of a tune for you (or, I guess, me). If I do the objectionable and compare you to you.. I prefer when your doing something more sincere and heart felt sounding. Fun song.. I like fun, I prefer clever. I would guess that you do too.

Iamausername:

OK, this one IS Grandaddy's Stray Dog And The Chocolate Shake, not only have you stolen the riff, you've pretty much stolen the voice as well. Still, this song made me laugh quite a lot, even after repeated listens. The lyrics are really awful, but in a good way, if that makes sense at all. The "Wait, I'm not done yet" bit is done perfectly. Ending didn't work so well though. Either Johnny or Josh getting my vote, will give them a few more listens before I decide.

Frankie Big Face:

Hi Josh. Pretty decent song. Someone once lamented the "wasted creativity" I expended on a song called "Big Red Snack Foam." I now understand what he meant. I'm not sure you could have made a better song than this called "Snooter."

Jack Shite:

it's your usual high production hootie and the blowfish rock. extremely well done and about as exciting as watching grass grow. that guitar riff is so worn out and cliche. and the lyle lovett shtick isn't working for me either.

C Hack:

And another one that sounds great. Ha! I love the "I'm not done yet." I think this might be Woodward. It's a little poppy for my tastes. But I have nothing bad to say otherwise. LOL [-- that's me laughing out loud, for real. I LOVE that ending! Reminds me of Milton, from Office Space. This isn't a KEEPER per se, but I'm keeping it b/c it made me laugh out loud.

The Human Cello:

oh man this is really cool. a way fun song. the chorus is really nice. i'm realllly digging this. not much critique really i think you totally nailed what you were aiming for in this song. 4 stars. (keeper, 2nd place)

Fried:

I love the vocals and the riff. I dont care for the talkie breaks. The words are randomly hitting me and that is fine. Only a couple songs left to find one that sucks. 7/10

Niveous:

That leaves J$ and Josh in a battle for who gets the vote. Josh went with the funny and scored but he left snooter undefined.

HeuristicsInc:

catchy opening. these lyrics are kinda meaningless, aren't they? you never say what snoots is so i'm kinda lost. seems like a lyrical easy way out. sounds good. what ending? (1)

SaxManRunning:

I personally really liked joshes little song here, it was funny and I had to listen to it atleast twice to make sure I hadn't day dreamed it. I tuned my guitar buddy! still need to buy some recording stuff. I listened to the rest of them, justa bit though, I was in a rush, I liked abominominous... josh still gets my vote, possible reviews later.
