Posted on Mon, Oct 12, 2009 With the new CD, I've decided to drop the Share-Alike clause from my license. My music is now all available as Creative Commons Attribution. This means you can use my music for anything, as long as you give credit for it. [More Info] I've been debating on this one for awhile. Obviously, I prefer that derivative works are also licensed as Creative Commons, but pretty much every day I'm waiving that provision for someone, so they can use it in a context that doesn't play well with CC (YouTube, movies, ads, etc). Now there's no ambiguity, and you can hack apart my music at will, as long as you give me credit. This applies to "Breadcrumbs" and all of my other albums and songs, including the instrumental mixes. Enjoy!
Thank you Josh, that is extremely kind of you to give your music away for free in the first place.
Admittedly I have no reason to do this, but thanks anyway
Hey Josh - Thanks for the music. I love it and it will work great with my grad school project I am doing! Keep up the good work.
I love you man! Your music is so high-end and even free, there's no need to do piracy when one have musicians like you! Everyone who listens to music from Josh or any other artists that give you free quality music should donate some money to keep their production alive!
Your generosity is on par with the quality of your lyrics. I'm afraid I can't speak personally for the sound, being deaf, although my partner isn't and she adores your music. I recommend you on a regular basis to friends.
Podcasters all over the world should be happy with this development. Thanks again for offering such high-quality songs.
re: license change
Admittedly if it was not for credit being given to you on the YouTube video with Jesse the Jack Russell (LOVE that video) I would not have found this site. Great music!
Thank you for your sharing your gift of music with us.
