New MP3: "Gump Worsley is Dead" Email to a Friend RSS Syndication Posted on Mon, Feb 26 2007 Though I find his music rather distasteful, I definitely owe a debt of gratitude to Wosh Joodward, who last year saved me by pushing me out of the path of a very dangerous bus that was heading straight for me. That day, I agreed to let him have recording rights to his choice of a future song of mine. Unfortunately, it angers me that he's laid his claim to the best song I've ever written, and quite possibly, the best song that has ever been written in the history of recorded civilization. Then he went and chucked out the brilliant lyrics I'd written. But hey, without him, I'd be flat as a pita. So here is Wosh performing a fine song called "Gump Worsley is Dead": Production Notes: Fairly straightforward here. The acoustic was tracked in mono to keep the mix uncluttered. Guitars were the Telecaster > Tube Screamer > Pro Reverb > 414, except the solo part, which was the Koa Strat. There is a lot of distant room micing on the clap parts and stuff. I, very much so, dig the guitar parts in this song, as well as the vocal harmonies. Tell Wosh that he's a great song writer.
This song actually is sick. I wish that Josh Woodward had done this song too. P.S. Claps make me happy!
