What
I think you are crazy about New China Inn. I grew up eating their Almond Boneless Chicken (what they are best known for), and even though I live several hours away, I still crave it's savory awesomeness!!! What did you eat???

You're nuts! I've eaten at New China Inn for 30 years and NEVER had a bad meal.

I worked at New China for several years as the hostess. Did you know they made everything from scratch? How many restraunts do that? They sold over 2,000 egg rolls per week-every one hand made? They have many popular dishes and good servings. Wasn't familiar with Chinese food before I started working there but grew to love it and is one of my favorite! When I go back home I stop in to enjoy!!

All that's great, but it's still to this day the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. There are obviously plenty of people who disagree with me, since they've been open since around the time of the Ming dynasty, but I'm still haunted by the horror that was our meal that night.

Am sorry to hear of your dissappointment. It has been years since I've worked there-Quit in 86?  to relocate. They took pride in what they put out. Different management maybe? Not sure. Am surprised it is still open with all the flooding Findlay has and them being next to the river. I do know at one time Mr. Chin, the owner when I worked there-stepped down and his son Gene-Chow Chow-took over. I ate there several times after he had and it was good. IT is good to hear different peoples opinions. Hopefully they log onto this and see the ups and downs. That is how a business is run. Have a great day!

Josh, if you were a young child when you ate there you might not have liked it-they serve a lot of vegetables! You are definitely very verbal on your opinion, which you are welcome to do but you come across as a person with a big chip on his shoulder who doesn't like life in general. Not all businesses are there to please everyone, so you made the right choice to move on. And, yes, there are people who don't choose to eat at your favorite restraunts. Doesn't it strike you that if they have been there is the ming dynasty and are still running that they must be doing something right? That is a long time and I would say that the positives would probably really out weigh the negetive. My sons love the meals. My middle son didn't like chinese food but loved the hamburger plater and egg drop soup. To this day he makes the egg drop soup! One son loved the ABC-almond boned chicken, and my other loved sweet and sour chicken. Each to their own.

I was a full-grown foodie when I went (and I love veggies, as well as Americanized Chinese food like they are). Feel free to take a look at the rest of my reviews - I'm not afraid to give my true opinion, but that's fairly positive in the vast majority of cases. I just personally really didn't like the New China Inn.

I've heard a number of people who genuinely don't like my favorite restaurant, Revolver, and I totally respect that. In the same way, I respect people like you who love places like this. To each their own, as you said. This list is just the unvarnished opinion of what one guy's tongue told his brain, so like the main page says, take it with a grain of salt. Unless you're eating at the New China Inn, which had too much salt already if I remember correctly. :D
