Joey Fratellos - aka Marty's pies - is the best in Findlay. Plus, here is a guy giving the American dream a try. He opens and a month later he gets flooded. When the flood waters come in Feb 2008 - he sleeps in the store. I love his effort - I love his story. Best of all - I love the pies - and the calzones are great too. Try a 'Hawaiian Calzone' and have them add a smidge of onion. Fantastic.
Joey Fratello's is absolutely the best pizza in Findlay! I require a significant amount of attention as a customer, the service is excellent. The owner, Marty really cares what you think! But ultimately it is the very best pizza in Findlay. Quality ingredients and no cost reduction in making the sauce. I would recommend anyone stopping in and giving it a shot. Have high expectations, you will not be disappointed! Meatlovers with onions is my favorite!
It is indeed the best pizza in Findlay. I even liked the one (can't remember the name) that doesn't have cheese.
Great sandwiches too. Neat little place
Marty is the man. Joey's pizza is the best around and they will personalize just about anything. Tell them "Calzone Guy" sent you.
I can't get enough of the place, they rapidly became one of my regular lunch places. I practically lived there for meals during the last General election effort. The guys and gals make you feel right at home and service is very good.
This is by far the best pizza in Findlay...I'd even venture to say it's the best pizza I've had in my life (and I've lived all over the US)!
Now they have cinnamon rolls, which hit the spot on a cold winter day. I tried their gelato the other day (holy COW there was a lot of caramel in the Caramel Butter Pecan) and I think I'm going to see if they'll set me up a cot in the back room.
If you haven't been there, go NOW. If you don't like pizza, they also have toasted subs, tons of pastas (I recommend the lobster ravioli or eggplant parmesan), and they even have wings, poppers, onion rings, and other appetizers for the big game.
OK, I'll stop now...lol...making myself hungry.
This place is truly delicious and very authentic. It has a real old school feel and it's a perfect place to eat out on a friday night. Staff is super super nice!
Joey's is the best! I must not be the only one who thinks it, either-I was in there last night after the Art Walk, and they were totally packed! I'm happy to see they are doing so well, and fully expect to see them go nationwide some day. Go Joey's!
THIS PLACE HAS BEEN IN TOWN FOR TWO YEARS AND I NEVER HEARD OF IT. THEY NEED TO ADVERTISE....TOOK A WHILE FOR OUR ORDER BUT THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. MY SON HAD THE LOBSTER RAVIOLI AND HE SAID IT WAS REALLY GOOD BUT NOT ENOUGH IF IT, IT WAS A RATHER SMALL AMOUNT ON THE PLATE...FOR THE MONEY...HE LEFT HUNGRY...ALL IN ALL WE WILL PROBABLY RETURN...LOVED THE SWEET SAUCE...AND ONE MORE THING...THEY ONLY GIVE ONE BREAD STICK , YOU REALLY NEED MORE.
Joey's is my favorite get away for a late lunch. It's within walking distance of my office and I love to show up about 1:15 in the middle of the week. The crowd is thinning abit and I can sit and grab a couple of minutes of downtime. Marty greets me by name; every time. The pizza is great! But my favorite comfort food is the baked cheese ravioli paired with a tossed salad. Please! if you order this do not be in a hurrry. This dish is meant to be savoured not eaten. Thanks to Marty and his gang for providing a place of delicous safety from the outside world!
